Meet the Cast of Cymbeline: Arviragus
1) Where are you from? How did you end up here (or why did you stay)?
I am from Grand Rapids. After graduating from college, I decided to begin my career where my love of theatre was born, right here in GR!
2) Where did you study acting?
I studied acting at Hope College where I received a B.A. in Theatre with a minor in Music.
3) What theaters have you worked with? Describe a favorite role/production:
I’ve worked with local theatres such as Circle Theatre and Grand Rapids Civic Theatre since I was 11 years old. Professionally I have worked with Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI, and now Pigeon Creek!
4) What do you do in your free time?
Cuddling with my dog, crocheting, knitting, and binge watching sci-fi on Netflix are among my favorite hobbies, though most of my time is taken up by work and theatre.
5) Share three “fun facts” about yourself:
I recently started working at Anna’s House as a hostess. Stop by the East Beltline location and you might see me!
My fiancé is an electronic music producer (artist name Scarpainting) and occasionally I sing for his albums.
In addition to being an actor, I am also a director and playwright. Senior year of college I wrote a full length play based on interviews with college students about coping with mental illness in their daily lives. I had the privilege of producing and directing the play in the spring of 2016, and hope to continue using theatre to tell the stories of those who struggle with mental illness.
