Meet the Cast: Joe Cox

• 1) Where are you from? How did you end up here (or why did you stay)?

I'm from Mishawaka Indiana and my mother and I moved to Michigan when I was f

our to be closer to family. I've lived in Chicago for a year since then but otherwise have spent my entire life in Saranac.

• 2) Where did you study acting?

I decided to try acting my senior year in High School because that was the only year my school district had a drama program. I auditioned and after the completion of the play decided that I wanted to study it at GVSU as well. I finished a bachelor of science in Theater in 2012.

• 3) What theaters have you worked with? Describe a favorite role/production:

I've worked with the University Wits on various productions and am just starting to work with Pigeon Creek. My favorite role I've gotten to date is Joe Hardy in The Mystery of where Babies come from. I loved how comedic the show was and how much fun we got to have on stage.

• 4) What do you do in your free time?

In my free time I like to read, socialize, listen to music and in general do the same things anyone else likes to do.

• 5) Share three “fun facts” about yourself:

I've been in three fraternities over the course of my life, I once dreamed of become a professional eater, and my favorite word is susurrus because it's an onomatopoeia for itself.
