Michigan's only year-round, touring Shakespeare company
copyright 2012.
Pigeon Creek will return to the Rose Playhouse, a recreation of
an outdoor Elizabethan playhouse at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
in Twin Lake, Michigan, in the summer of 2014.  The company
will perform
The Merry Wives of Windsor on May 31 and Romeo
and Juliet
on August 24.

Pigeon Creek first performed at the Rose in the summer of
2012, and has now formed a regular partnership with Blue Lake
Public Radio to offer a summer Shakespeare series each year.
Ticket revenue from the Rose performances goes to benefit
WBLV Blue Lake Public Radio.  The Rose was built by Blue Lake
Fine Arts Camp in 2010, and is used primarily for the instruction
of middle school and high school level campers throughout the
summer.  The theatre features architecture based on outdoor
playhouses of Shakespeare’s time period such as the Globe and
the original Rose.  These performances offer West Michigan
audiences the very rare opportunity to see Shakespeare’s plays
performed in the theatre architecture from the Bard’s own time

Tickets to these performances are $20 in advance, $25 at the
door, and $15 for students and groundlings.  Tickets are
available from WBLV Blue Lake Public Radio at 231-894-5656 or
