the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company
|
Michigan's only year-round, touring professional Shakespeare company

The highly trained teaching artists of our board and
regular acting company pass on their training to early
career actors by conducting workshops in high school
and university acting classes. Actors interested in
training in Shakespearean acting may also join our
“Scenes Troupe,” which performs scenes from
Shakespeare’s plays at promotional and community
outreach events. Actors who are current university
students may attend our regular auditions and use
roles with the company as internships with the
approval of their university. We also offer apprentice
understudy positions in all of our mainstage
productions, which provide a wonderful opportunity for
student actors to participate in the rehearsal process.
The company also conducts a once yearly residency
at a West Michigan high school, in which professional
actors from Pigeon Creek’s regular acting company
rehearse and perform a play alongside high school
actors. For further information about residency
opportunities, please contact Executive Director
Katherine Mayberry at katherine@pcshakespeare.com.
